Figure 6.2.25.1 shows a message sequence chart example for indicating DBI.
This procedure is identical to that of
clause 6.2.1 apart from the IMS-ALG optionally requesting the IMS-AGW to transparently forward the RTCP feedback DBI packets (as defined in
TS 26.114) between incoming and outgoing network.
The PCRF/PCF bypass procedure defined in
clause 8 of TS 23.380 is an optional IMS restoration procedure. The following RTCP RR packets trigger procedure is established to support the PCF bypass procedure.
Figure 6.2.26.1 shows the message sequence chart example for the RTCP RR packets trigger.
UE A initiates an initial INVITE request to the IMS-ALG (P-CSCF) to establish an IMS session. The P-CSCF routes the INVITE request to the I-/S-CSCF. Then the I-/S-CSCF returns a 183 response to the P-CSCF.
When the P-CSCF detects that all the PCRF/PCF instances fail, it sends an H.248 MOD request to IMS-AGW. The H.248 MOD request IMS-AGW to send the RTCP RR Package to termination T1. Once IMS-AGW receives the request, it starts to send RTCP RR Packets to termination T1 and return H.248 MOD response to P-CSCF.
