In order to enable operators the ability to provide a commercially viable service there is a need to provide charging functions. The present document describes the functionality of charging, which includes the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) in GSM and UMTS, as defined in TS 22.060 and TS 23.060 (packet based services).
