The scope of this TS is to describe multiplexing, channel coding and interleaving in the FDD mode, and to specify:
  • coding and multiplexing of transport channels into CCTrCHs;
  • channel coding alternatives;
  • coding for Layer 1 control information, such as TFCI;
  • the different interleavers;
  • how is rate matching done;
  • physical channel segmentation and mapping.
